ESTAR/MSTAR Diagnostic

Elementary Students in Texas: Algebra Ready (ESTAR) and Middle School Students in Texas: Algebra Ready (MSTAR) Diagnostic Assessment

The ESTAR/MSTAR Diagnostic Assessment, designed to follow the ESTAR/MSTAR Universal Screener, is administered to identify WHY students are struggling with algebra-related core instruction, and provides information that can be used to plan supplemental instruction. 

The 2026-2027 Administration Windows for the ESTAR/MSTAR Diagnostic Assessments have been scheduled as follows:
Fall: August 17 - October 16, 2026
Winter: January 11 - February 12, 2027
Spring: April 19 - May 21, 2027
